Building and Grounds
The two-story main building (formerly the historic Rogers Clark Ballard School building) was constructed in 1914, with classrooms added in 1928, 1985 and again in 1995. The buildings were completely renovated in the mid-1980s, restoring the school’s original grace and charm.

Today the campus houses 13 classrooms. The main building opens its doors to preschoolers. The “Treehouse” provides classrooms for the kindergartners and first graders. The “Lodge” is headquarters for the second and third graders. The “Cottage” houses the fourth and fifth graders. The facilities include a library, “Funroom” (gym), art and music rooms. The school has several kitchenettes for cooking projects, and refrigerators and microwaves for storing and warming meals and snacks brought from home. Technological resources are conveniently located in classrooms throughout the building, providing additional learning tools as needed. The grounds include two playgrounds, gardens, wooded areas and fields. There are several parking lots, with parking in the lower lot and field for parents and visitors.
