Board of Trustees
Chance School is a non-profit organization, which is governed by a 24-member, parent-elected Board of Trustees. The board is comprised of deeply committed Chance parents as well as dedicated individuals from outside the school who make a significant commitment to the stewardship of Chance School.

The trustees are charged with planning and directing Chance School for their children’s children. The board functions according to the by-laws of the school and all existing board policies. Trustees establish polices for the administration of the school, insure the fiscal health of the school, and plan strategically for the future.

Board members serve as chairs of all committees. Their commitment of 3 years and considerable time includes board meetings and participation on one or more board committees. Membership on committees may include trustees, faculty, staff, parents and others. Standing committees include Executive, Finance, Personnel, Development, Marketing/Public Relations, Nominating, Program, Parents’ Council/Student & Family Needs, and Building Grounds & Technology.
