Faculty
The faculty of Chance School is comprised of teachers and assistants for core program curriculum, and specialist teachers for the program’s enrichment components. A lead teacher and an assistant are in each preschool classroom. Two certified lead teachers are in each elementary classroom.

Chance is known for its outstanding teachers. Parents list the faculty as the number one reason they enroll their children at the school. Evident on the teachers’ faces, and in their words and actions, is their desire to work with young children. This team of committed individuals works together to implement best practice in educational methods throughout the school. They see their roles as “guides or facilitators of learning” and their methods of teaching are determined by how children learn.

The outstanding faculty of 31 boasts an average commitment of 10 years and a total of 396 years in education. 90% of teachers in the elementary program have advanced degrees.
