Healthy at Camp

Hello Camp Families!

I wanted to take this opportunity and let everyone know that we have plans in place to keep our campers and counselors at Summer Under the Trees safe and healthy this summer again. Please know that camp will look slightly different again this year as we will be following all state and local guidelines to keep all campers and camp staff safe and healthy. Here is a general outline of what to expect at camp.

  • All elementary campers kindergarten and older will need to bring a reusable mask to wear when adequate distancing is not guaranteed, for example, during carpool, when on the move, and when indoors. All camp staff will also wear masks during these times. 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4-year-olds will not wear masks.

  • All camp staff will wear masks during carpool, when indoors, and when adequate distancing is not guaranteed.

  • Groups will not intermingle or cross paths throughout the day.

  • Campers will need to bring their own snacks, lunches, and water bottles. Snack will occur once a day for half-day (11:30 and 1:00 pickup) campers and twice a day for full-day campers (3:00 pickup). We will have limited snack options for those who forget to bring a snack.

  • Lunch and snack will always take place outdoors, and groups will maintain social distance.

  • We will have handwashing stations placed throughout our campus. Campers will wash their hands upon arrival, before & after eating, after using the restroom, and before leaving camp.

Another communication will be sent out the week before camp begins that will detail the process for dropping off and picking up your camper. If you have any questions or concerns regarding camp please feel free to reach out to taylor.zach@chanceschool.org. We look forward to seeing you soon under the trees!

Sincerely,

Zach Taylor
