I received my Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and my Bachelor of Arts with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Christian Ministries from Lindsey Wilson College. I taught nine years in the Kentucky public school system as a first, second, and fifth-grade teacher. I also have three years of experience teaching preschool in a church setting. During this time, I also led a fun fitness class for three, four, and five-year-olds.
After taking a break from full time teaching to be at home with my two children, I transitioned to office work in an elementary school. I have three years of experience as a registrar and running the front office. I thoroughly enjoy supporting teachers and students in a different way from outside the classroom as well as interacting with families and guests that enter the school. What excites me about working at VCS is the small school setting where I can get to know our families well.
My husband, Brandon, and I are high school sweethearts and have been married fifteen years this summer. Our daughter, Peyton, is 12, and our son, Brody, is 9. Our faith is a driving force in our lives. We most recently spent the last three years in Columbia, South Carolina as part of a church plant. We are happy to be back home with family this past fall and continue to be involved serving at our church where I sing on the Worship Team. I love reading, running, being a soccer mom, and am a certified REFIT® instructor.
