Director of Fund Development
I have a B.A. in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Evansville. I love learning new things and developing new skills. I have completed both the Fund for the Arts NeXt Leadership Program and YPAL Emerging Leaders Program. I have spent most of my career in the nonprofit sector, working in development, marketing, nonprofit leadership, and administration. When we work together towards a common goal, wonderful things happen. This philosophy and the wonderful community and individual connections I can make draw me to fund development.
As a new mom, I researched places to send my daughter to preschool when that time comes. It was important to my husband and me that our daughter has an education that aligned with our values and focused on being a good human and steward of the Earth, in addition to receiving a great education. Chance's Progressive Education and nature-focus seemed like the ideal place for our child. The focus on nurturing the whole child and allowing the exploration and engagement with the natural world, which is vital for humans to recharge their minds and bodies, is exactly what I want for my own daughter. When I saw they had an opportunity that aligned so well with my professional background, I was excited. Chance is a unique treasure in our community, and working to support this vital education is a dream come true.
I love to laugh and try to bring joy into everything I do. When not at work, I like to spend time with my husband, our daughter, and our spoiled cat. As a forever learner, I have many hobbies, including roller skating, playing the ukulele, baking, creating special effects costumes, hiking, and reading.
