I am a Development Professional with 15 years of direct fundraising experience, and an additional 5 years in program management for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. With a Masters in Public Health, I spent the first 15 years of my career working internationally developing Public Health programs abroad as well as working closely with governmental agencies such as USAID and NGOs to fund these programs. This included subcontracting, recruiting for and developing proposals.
In 2014, I joined Virginia Chance School as the Director of Development where I led our annual fundraising campaigns and activities – the Challenge for Chance and Auction – as well as organized our parent volunteers and all of our fun annual family events. Family commitments have taken priority for me and in 2018, I stepped down from the Director role into the role of Development Assistant.
When I am not at school, I love spending time with my two children, who are thriving at Chance, as well as my husband Greg. I like to cook, read and most of all . . . travel. I have lived in, worked in or traveled to 41 different countries and 44 U.S. states – I love adding to that list. Thankfully, all of my family shares this love of travel, it is our most treasured activity to do together. My favorite thing about Virginia Chance School is that our faculty and staff cultivate a natural curiosity in all of the students – leading to life-long explorers and learners!
