Administrative Assistant & Graphic Designer
I graduated from Skidmore College as a Studio Art major/Business minor. Upon graduation, I worked for 12 years in the graphic design field in San Francisco, CA, where I met my engineering husband of 25 years who is from Louisville. With my husband's job transfer, we moved to Louisville, where I continued with graphic design until the birth of my oldest son in 1996. I chose to be a stay at home mom for the first six years and then began teaching preschool at Highland Presbyterian Preschool the same year my older son, Tyler began first grade at Chance, followed two years later by my younger son, Coley. Both graduated from VCS absolutely prepared for their transition to middle school at Louisville Collegiate School. My older son graduated this year from Princeton University and lives in NYC, and my younger son is currently a junior at Brown University. I am so grateful for the positive and nurturing VCS experience for our whole family. VCS prepared my sons for a continuing academic journey, where they enjoy learning and challenging themselves.
Having begun my journey at Chance as a parent, I am now entering my 5th year with the administrative staff at VCS. I am responsible for various organizational projects as well as a variety of graphics, including the Challenge for Chance and Auction. I enjoy the ability to share my artistic skills in the academic environment. I work part-time at Chance, as I also continue to do freelance graphic and jewelry design. I play as much tennis as I can, and my husband and I enjoy hiking, biking and playing with our dog, Daisy.
