I am beginning my 19th year as a teacher! For seventeen years, I have taught in an independent school and have had the opportunity to teach early childhood, music, chorus, and a fiber arts curriculum. I also taught a fiber arts enrichment at Virginia Chance School and I am now in my second year as a Pre-K teacher at Chance. I am a graduate of Spalding University with a degree in psychology and a minor in creative writing.
I am so excited about Virginia Chance's innovative educational approach and I am passionate about inspiring a joy for learning in children.
I am a mother of four children and understand the impact of early childhood experiences and education since I have been able to watch my own children and my students become young adults in the world. In my time spent outside of school, I teach voice lessons, explore being an artist, sing jazz with a band, and enjoy cooking.
