Parents’ Night

Parents are invited to join us for Parents’ Night, an adults-only evening designed to help families better understand the year ahead in their child’s classroom.

The evening will begin with time to mingle in the Fun Room, followed by a welcome from Head of School, Stephanie Medcalfe; Board President, Eric McKendrick; and CFA President, Jennifer Turnbill. Parents will then move to classrooms for teacher presentations.

Classroom teachers will share an overview of the program, teaching structure, and foundations of learning for the year ahead, including how they set benchmarks, support growth, and challenge each child in developmentally appropriate ways.

Specialist teachers will be available in their own learning spaces throughout the evening, giving families the opportunity to see where specialty learning happens, ask questions, and learn more about what students experience in each area. Science & Nature Specialists, Eric and Jed, will be available at the Greenhouse to share more about their programs and how their work connects with students’ learning across the school year.

Schedule

5:30–5:45 p.m. — Mingle in the Fun Room
5:45–6:00 p.m. — Welcome from Stephanie, Eric & Jennifer
6:00–6:30 p.m. — Session 1 in Classrooms
6:35–7:05 p.m. — Session 2 in Classrooms or Visit Specialist Teachers
7:05–7:30 p.m. — Visit Specialist Teachers

Families with children in multiple classrooms are encouraged to divide time between parents or split visits as needed.

Parking will be available in the Field Lot.

This is an adults-only event. Childcare will not be provided.
