Description of Opportunities:
Classroom Ambassador: Coordinate community-building opportunities in your child's class, welcome new families to the program that are new to your child's class this year, champion our fundraising and other school events, support teachers as needed, and organize teacher appreciation week events. You're invited to attend monthly ambassador meetings led by Olivia Nalley, Director of Marketing & Communication. These meetings offer an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and ask any questions that come up in a safe and supportive space.
Seasonal Outdoor Decor: Make the school look beautiful for every season through design, material acquisition, and set-up.
Family Outdoor Greenhouse and Animal Care: Help harvest and maintain the greenhouse and provide weekend and break care to our animal friends.
Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, Belonging & Justice Committee: Help to establish DIEBJ norms and common language for the school.
New Family Ambassador: Connect with and welcome new Chance families to help bring them into the community. Note this opportunity is for families who have been at Chance for at least 3 years.
Library Assisting: Helping in cataloging and organizing the library
Athletic Coaching: Assistant coaches will coach, run practices, and attend games along with the head coach for these sports:
- Cross Country
- Basketball
- Field Hockey
- Soccer
- Gymnastics
- Flag Football
- Dance/Cheer
Activities and Events: Help where needed for one or more of these events:
- Give for Good Day
- Chance Chase XC Meet
- Fall Festival
- Bonfire and Sing Along
- Sweetheart Dance
- Gala
- Spring Art Show
- Family Talent Show
