Louisville Grows x City of Glenview Tree Planting Event
Join Us for a Tree Planting Day – Saturday, November 8
Dear Chance Families,
Chance School is partnering with the City of Glenview and Louisville Grows to help increase the tree canopy throughout the Louisville area—and we’d love for you to join us!
We are seeking volunteers to participate in a Tree Planting Day on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m (check-in at 8:30 am). Volunteers may park in the gravel lot and check in with Louisville Grows at the FourEvergreen Pavilion upon arrival.
What to Bring / Wear
- 
Weather-appropriate, outdoor work clothing (layers recommended) 
- 
Sturdy shoes or boots 
- 
A refillable water bottle 
This is a rain or shine event (excluding severe weather).
Volunteer Details
- 
Not appropriate for small children- teens are welcome and can receive volunteer hours. 
- 
Volunteers 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 
- 
No prior experience needed—Louisville Grows will provide guidance and tools. 
On-Site Support
Nicole McKendrick, Comunity Engagement Coordinator, and Jed Schneider, Nature-Based Learning, will be on site throughout the morning to support volunteers and answer any questions.
We hope you’ll join us in this meaningful, hands-on effort to support our local environment and community. It’s a wonderful way for families to learn, work together, and give back.
