Lianna Hill

I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Cincinnati, along with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics and Science and a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Utah State University.

I began my teaching career at Promontory School of Expeditionary Learning, where I discovered my passion for hands-on, inquiry-based learning and creating meaningful educational experiences for students. Those experiences continue to shape my teaching at Chance, where I strive to foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a genuine love of learning every day.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is building strong relationships with students and creating a classroom community where every child feels known, valued, and encouraged to take risks as a learner. I believe that when students feel seen and supported, they are empowered to ask questions, think deeply, and discover what they're capable of.

Outside of the classroom, you'll usually find me exploring Louisville with my husband, Austin, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, practicing yoga, hiking, or searching for my next favorite thrifted treasure. At home, I'm kept company by my two cats, Millie and Theo, who are convinced they run the house.
