Nicole McKendrick

As both a Chance parent and admissions professional, I am passionate about helping families discover a community where children are known, heard, and inspired to develop a lifelong love of learning.

I hold a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and have spent more than a decade working in admissions, recruitment, and student success. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of guiding prospective students and families through the enrollment process while building meaningful relationships that support their educational journeys.

I have experienced the transformative impact of a Chance education firsthand. My family has been part of the Virginia Chance School community since our daughter was two years old. From the very beginning, Chance embraced not only her, but our entire family. Over the years, my husband joined the VCS Board, our daughter advanced into the Elementary program, and we developed lasting friendships and a deep sense of belonging within the community.

As Director of Admissions, I am excited to share the Chance experience with prospective families and help them discover what makes this school so special—not only for children, but for the entire family. I enjoy getting to know each child and family, guiding them through the admissions journey, and helping them find a school environment where they can thrive.

Outside of Chance's 26 acres, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and our small pack of pets, traveling, exploring the mountains, and serving as a foster care and adoption advocate.
