Kristin Rodas

 

Kristin Rodas became an integral part of the Chance community in the fall of 2019 when her daughter, Peony, was welcomed into the early preschool program. Over the past six years, her love and commitment to both the school and the VCS community have blossomed, paralleling the growth of her family. Kristin is now the proud mother of Penelope, who is in Pre-K, Sebastian, who is in Kindergarten, and Peony, currently in the 2nd grade.

 

Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Louisville, where she focused on Human Resources. With over 15 years of professional experience, she has worked in diverse industries, including education, healthcare, and corporate consulting, tirelessly championing employee experience. Her colleagues often commend her for her outstanding communication abilities, empathetic approach, and adept problem-solving skills. After successfully serving as a consultant for Chance School, she transitioned into her current role as HR Manager, where she continues to foster a positive workplace culture.

 

Outside of her responsibilities at VCS, Kristin finds joy in spending quality time with her family in nature. They often explore hiking trails, and local parks. Together with her husband, Alejandro, they have cultivated Goldenbrook Farms, a small-scale regenerative family farm that showcases a diverse array of fruit trees, gourmet mushrooms, pollinator-friendly bees, and free-range chickens. Through their farm, they embrace sustainable practices and strive to educate their children about agriculture, sustainability, and the importance of local food systems.
