Parents and caregivers of children in Preschool 3s and Preschool 4s (Pre-K) are invited to join us for Kindergarten Look Ahead, a special presentation exploring the Kindergarten experience and the full elementary journey at Chance.

At Virginia Chance School, the elementary years build on the curiosity, confidence, and resilience children develop in early childhood. Our progressive elementary program supports academic growth, social-emotional development, collaboration, independence, and joyful, challenging learning through fifth grade.

Hayley Abell, Director of Elementary Programs, will begin with a glimpse of the fifth-grade experience, then trace the learning journey back to Kindergarten, where we will spend most of our time. She will share how our teachers approach literacy and math instruction, student assessment, higher-order thinking, and developmentally appropriate challenge, with a closer look at what this means for children entering Kindergarten.

Whether Kindergarten is approaching soon or still a year away, this is a meaningful opportunity to understand what comes next and how each year prepares your child for the opportunities ahead.

Join us for a look inside the learning, relationships, and thoughtful program design that shape the Chance elementary experience. Bring your questions!
