Sarah Farmer
Sarah Farmer and her husband, Russ, joined the VCS community when their son Josh entered as a two-year-old. What they thought would be a one-year experience before moving from Kentucky has instead become a cornerstone of the home the Farmers have built in Louisville. Both Josh and his brother, Ezra, completed the full Chance program, and all four Farmers have important friendships from their VCS years.
Sarah grew up all around the U.S. as an Army brat, having visited forty-four states before graduating high school. (Amusingly, Kentucky was one of the missing six; her first trip here was to buy a house while Russ was in China for a month!) She’s a proud Texas Aggie, having earned a BA in Political Science, a BS in Psychology, and a Master in International Affairs with an emphasis in national security from A&M.
In life before children, Sarah served as a federal government analyst and as a middle & high school teacher. After children, she primarily has served as a volunteer and leader in various community organizations and, most recently, has begun serving as a family representative with the American Academy of Pediatrics.
