At Chance, joyful learning and academic challenge are not competing ideas.

Children are encouraged to think deeply, ask strong questions, take appropriate risks, solve problems, revise their thinking, and persist through challenge. Teachers know their students well enough to understand when to support, when to stretch, and when to give children room to discover what they can do for themselves.

Our goal is not to rush childhood.

It is to make these important years count.

Through hands-on academics, inquiry, outdoor learning, collaboration, and strong teacher relationships, children develop the skills and habits that increasingly complex learning requires—curiosity, independence, confidence, resilience, and the ability to think for themselves.

From Preschool Through Fifth Grade

Young children learn through relationships, movement, exploration, conversation, play, and meaningful hands-on experiences.

At Chance, these experiences are intentionally designed to build early literacy and mathematical thinking, executive function, independence, collaboration, problem-solving, and a strong relationship with learning.

Our Elementary Program builds on those foundations with increasingly sophisticated work in literacy, mathematics, inquiry, science, research, collaboration, and real-world application.

Two-teacher classrooms allow children to be known deeply and challenged thoughtfully as they grow into increasingly independent, capable learners.
