With Virginia Chance School's inclusive tuition structure, most of the fees for student's supplieshave been incorporated into the tuition.
 
There are a few items that children like to choose for themselves- pencils, folders and there are personal items that we need families to provide such as rain boots, lunch bags etc.
 
Please reference this list when preparing for the upcoming school year: 

 

All PRESCHOOLERS  - Bring to Opening Conference

  1. A complete change of clothes in a clear plastic baggie labeled with your child’s name, appropriate for the current weather. Update as the seasons change.
  2. Rain Boots, labeled inside (less likely to rub off)
  3. Packages of diapers and wipes labeled (if your child uses them and we will notify you when to replenish your child’s supply)
  4. Reusable Water Bottle (for 4 yr olds only, labeled)
  5. Small blanket for rest time (if your child is in the full-day program, labeled)
  6. Lunch box, labeled with your child’s name, if staying until 1:00 or later: Looking to reduce lunch packing waste? We suggest: Yumbox   Bees Wrap  both also found on Amazon including other similar low waste options.

 

KINDERGARTEN & PRIMARY 1 - Bring to Opening Conference

  1. Size appropriate backpack or satchel- without wheels
  2. Rain Boots, labeled inside (less likely to rub off)
  3. Water bottle- stainless steel or BPA free plastic, and labeled with name
  4. 3 poly/vinyl style folders with pockets at the bottom

PRIMARY 2 & 3 - Bring first day of class

  4. 1 poly/vinyl style folders with pockets at the bottom 
  5. 1 1 inch binder
  6. 5 3-hole punched folders for binder
  7. 4 pkg #2 pencils (12ct. Each -suggests Ticonderoga brand)
  8. Lunch box, labeled with your child’s name:  Looking to reduce lunch packing waste? We suggest: Yumbox   Bees Wrap  both also found on Amazon including other similar low waste options.
  9. Headphones or Earbuds for Chromebooks

 

INTERMEDIATE 4 & 5 - Bring first day of class

  1. Backpack or satchel- without wheels
  2. Rain Boots, labeled inside (less likely to rub off)
  3. Water bottle- stainless steel or BPA free plastic, and labeled with name
  4. 6 poly/vinyl style folders with pockets at the bottom 
  5. 1 1-inch 3-ring binder with pockets
  6. 6 pkg #2 pencils (12ct each)
  7. Pencil pouch no bigger than 7x9.6 inches
